I was reading up on Artizone’s Artisanal food delivery on the Sun-Times site and apparently, they work with local artisanal stores to bring their food to you! They offer online shopping service for local Chicago vendors. They currently offer 8 Chicago stores including Great American Cheese, Pasta Puttana, and Gepperth’s Meat Market.
Here’s an example of a box of foodstuffs that was ordered. Look at that pasta, so fresh and looks fabulous! I’m a big fan of splurging and trying out artisanal foodstuffs because you never know what you’ll like/dislike. Plus, it’s a great way to see what people are making, perhaps getting a glimpse of popular food trends (bacon jam, no, seriously, that item is out there and ready to purchase), supporting local businesses and is a fun way to expand your food palate. And as always, if you think you can’t get it due to financial reasons or aren’t sure you’ll eat/like any of the food, purchasing foodstuffs with friends/family is a great way to overcome any issues you may have.
Anyone try it yet? Inquiring minds want to know! 🙂
